My mother believed in the power of modern medicine to heal her of her diseases.  Her doctors supported that belief; most doctors have not been trained to say they can offer no effective treatments unless their patient heals the inner wounds of guilt, anger, fear and shame.

Doctors deal with symptoms; only the patient can truly deal with the causative wounds of counter-productive thinking.  True healing happens when we go within and get to know the inner tickings of our feelings and then free ourselves from the causative pain.

I cannot and do not blame doctors for the sickness in the world; they, like all professions come to it for the most part through their desire to make a difference.

I certainly can target any person, including myself, who might impose their will upon any other individual.  The journey to health is a journey inward, every disease springs from a misalignment of our thinking.

My mother found a ‘cure’ for her ‘restless leg syndrome’, to her hypoglycemia, to her failing eyesight.  My mother did not find a cure for her cancer.  In my way I was able to help her look within, acknowledge some real wounds and find forgiveness.

When my mother died she had found peace with herself, with her family and her life.

I suppose there really is very little more a person could wish at the end of a life than to truly find peace.
