Page 2 of 2 Fortunately since those days I have learned that I do have a choice about how I feel. My circumstances are not in charge of my feelings. In truth the opposite proves out; my feelings and my thoughts directly determine my circumstances. And with a determined renewal of my mind I can transform my life. I know it is so because I have done it; not once but many times. Who I was is hardly recognizable next to who I am. And I am not doing anything magical, I am merely following in the footsteps of thousands of teachers before me and literally millions of practitioners who have applied the teachings of those masters; changed lives, new found health and friends, prosperity and joy. Be they Christian, Buddhist or Muslim, Hindu, Jewish or Taoist, the underlying message has been absolutely consistent. To change our lives we must live in accordance with exactly what it is we seek, as Mohandas Ghandi taught over a hundred years ago and as Jesus taught two thousand years ago. Each one of us at any time can have the life we dream of but it will take intense mental discipline. For in this world today it is the exception, not the norm, to think responsibly for the world we desire. It is the exception to hold ourselves accountable for our thinking and its natural consequences of health or disease. Yet each one of us can change our thinking and its parallel actions. Only thus can we make a difference, in our lives, those around us and in a small but real way, make a difference in our world. Blessings,
