Midweek Inspiration

This morning I asked myself "what inspiring thing should I write?" And no real surprise, nothing would come. There was just nothing profound enough. What I was hearing was an old tape "I'm not good enough." I got lost in a state of paralysis called I don't know. There is nothing further from the truth.

Of course I know, for I am a part of an Infinite intelligence whose every idea is available to me.

I don't know is a self righteous and egotistical idea that I could possibly for one moment function apart from God, this Infinite life force. It is a concept that I, of myself could have a single earth shattering idea.. I can't and I don't have to.

The greatest and most earth shattering ideas were never big and grand beyond comprehension. They were always simple beyond comprehension. So many times when I have been doing Spiritual Counseling my client has said those three paralyzing words, "I don't know". You can feel it even reading them, the sense of mental constriction, hopelessness, despondency. There is power in word even when there is no truth to them.

I always respond with "You do know."

There is usually a response of shock and denial. It feels a little like trying to hold onto a fish, or give a cat a bath. Every fibre of their being rebels.

"I don't know" is their excuse for staying stuck for not doing, for being mediocre.

There is no room in my world for mediocrity. There is nothing mediocre about this Living Intelligence that I bring into expression. 

"I don't know" is not an option, it never has been an option and the sooner we wake up to this truth the sooner we move forward in our lives.

This morning I did know what to write about. I just had to get my egotistical nothingness out of the way and let Divine Mind be my inspiration. When I did, It did. This is not a complicated or difficult idea, it is so simple we often miss it.

I don't know, is not an option.

So what do I know. I know I'm here, I know I have endless ideas flowing through my mind. I know you are a Divine person who has available all the knowing that I have; that my being profound or unbelievably clever is not going to impress you. The only thing that has ever truly impressed me was genuine appreciation.

You really are wonderful and you really do know it.

What you give today is your greatness. It is your legacy, whether it is 'just a smile', a helping hand or a days work given with love. By your intentions you enrich your life. Your actions flow from your intentions. You do know what to do; Love yourself, love your life, love your world. I know what to do, I know what to write. Today I will tell you that you are wonderful, I will fill this page with smiles that you can feel from my intention. You are a blessing to your world and to mine.
