How do we help people?  How do we help when we can see they need help but they don’t recognize their need?

 

Possibly the greatest internal struggle that any of us deal with is this conundrum of values.  And in the Science of Mind we run smack up against this paradox every time we are called to help another or join in a cause.  For most people the question simply comes down to time and inclination after all isn’t it obvious that we would reach out and help a sick, injured or helpless individual?  It’s the Good Samaritan thing right?

For me January is a time to clarify my vision of myself.  I take the time to look within and ask myself is this what you really want for yourself Dale?  I am a follower of my own inner light as each of us on this journey of self discovery is.  I have chosen a path that will keep me on track with my vision, that will pull me back when I get distracted; and I certainly do get distracted.

This weekly Lightmail is two days late and none went out last week.  It is a part of my fickle nature, when I feel driven to adjust my priorities I adjust them, it is part of honouring myself.

After two weeks I have my laptop computer back.  It went in for repairs; motherboard, ram, LAN card, I almost ended up with a new machine. I guess if you’re going to have a breakdown it might as well be complete.  In the world of computers replace is almost always the only option, they are the epitome of a throw away culture and consciousness.  This is simply an observation.

 

I once had a friend in my life who had had a breakdown, how he described it didn’t sound all that different from what my computer went through.
